You Can Now Use Multiple WhatsApp Numbers on a Single Phone

WhatsApp now offers the convenience of using two distinct accounts on a single Android smartphone, in addition to its existing capability of using one account on multiple smartphones.

This long-awaited feature, reminiscent of Telegram’s offering, has been accessible to WhatsApp’s beta testers for a while, but it is currently being gradually introduced to the stable channel.

This novel capacity to simultaneously run two separate WhatsApp accounts on one device eliminates the necessity to keep around two smartphones or employ app cloning features. This should allow you to keep your personal and work accounts on the same device, for instance.

In order to establish the second WhatsApp account, it’s essential to have an additional phone number and SIM card, or a phone equipped with multi-SIM or eSIM functionality. Nevertheless, even if your second SIM card resides in a different device, you should be able to create a second WhatsApp account, provided that you can receive the security code required for login.

Once you’ve addressed this requirement, navigate to the WhatsApp settings, select the arrow adjacent to your name, click on “Add account,” and then proceed in accordance with the instructions provided.

WhatsApp ensures that you can independently manage privacy and notification settings for both of your accounts.

Keep in mind that the multi-account feature is not available to everyone just yet, meaning it will probably be a week or two before it reaches everyone around the globe. We will keep you updated as soon as the feature arrives in Pakistan.

To control smog in the provincial capital, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to seize smoke-emitting vehicles over multiple violations.

During the hearing of a case on Friday, Justice Shahid Karim directed the district administration and traffic police to take stringent measures against vehicles polluting the air.

Furthermore, the director general of the Environmental Protection Agency was warned that failing to comply with the court’s orders could result in a contempt of court notice.

Moreover, Deputy Commissioners (DCs) across Punjab have been ordered to set up smog control cells. Commissioner Lahore was told to make sure the court’s orders were implemented.

Additionally, Justice Shahid Karim encouraged government employees to start using bicycles to help combat smog in the provincial capital. He added that the DCs should take steps to ensure that the Tehsildars and police inspectors take part in efforts to eliminate smog.

The judge also directed Commissioner Lahore to establish an emergency cell dedicated to smog-related matters in his office and prepare daily reports.

Earlier, the LHC had issued strict orders to control smog. It includes a Rs. 3,000 fine for washing vehicles at home, a Rs. 5,000 fine for wrong parking, and suspension of all new construction projects between October and March.

It is worth mentioning that the caretaker Punjab government had already banned the entry of smoke-emitting vehicles to Lahore. The Punjab Transport Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi had also issued a strict warning to officials.

Rs. 600 Million to Be Distributed Among Victims of Private Housing Society Soon

Arain City, Fateh Jang, has paid Rs. 600 million to the National Accountability Bureau, Rawalpindi, as part of a plea bargain.

According to the NAB spokesperson, Accountability Court-1 raised no objections and approved the plea bargain.

Recently, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) launched a massive crackdown against unauthorized housing societies and demolished encroachments and illegal constructions of 11 societies.

According to the RDA spokesman, offices, gates, billboards, and other infrastructure of Rawal Enclave, Haider Residencia, Park Zameen Town, Al-Haram City, Danyal Al-Haram Block, Tameer Garden, Khan Builders, Manan City, Multi Gardens Phase-II, Faisal Town Phase-II and Capital Smart City Extension were destroyed during the operation.

Furthermore, according to RDA, 336 out of 484 housing societies in the garrison city are illegal. These housing schemes are operating without acquiring the necessary legal documents from the authority.
