CJP reconstitutes NJAC to improve efficiency of judiciary

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa has reconstituted the National Judicial Automation Committee (NJAC) to improve the efficiency of the judiciary.

The Committee will be led by Supreme Court’s judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

It will work towards the digitalization of the court’s processes and records, introduce mobile applications for better access to justice and improve case management.

The Committee aims to automate and integrate the judiciary and also introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the legal processes and research. It will prepare a national plan based on technology and AI to improve the efficiency of service delivery of the judiciary.

President emphasizes for adopting healthy lifestyle to prevent cardiovascular diseases

President Dr Arif Alvi has emphasized for adopting healthy lifestyle, including diet, to prevent cardiovascular diseases.

In his video-link address to the 12th biennial conference of the Pakistan Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons held in Peshawar on Friday, he said preventive measures not only decrease the risk of disease but also reduced the burden on the national healthcare system.

The President said cardiovascular diseases are also being diagnosed in young as well as the lengthy treatment and surgeries of cardiac diseases become unaffordable for the patients.

He said healthy diet and lifestyle are the best options to prevent cardiac diseases.

Dr Arif Alvi also urged doctors and medical practitioners to make a service to society by encouraging preventive care and convincing the general public to adopt the routine of walk and specific exercises.
