Constitution of Pakistan provides equal rights to all communities: Info Minister


Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says Christian community has played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with Christian festival Easter in Lahore on Sunday, he said services of Christian community are unforgettable in the security and survival of the country.

He said Constitution of Pakistan provides equal rights to all communities including Christians in the country.

Punjab CM felicitates Christian community on Easter


Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has felicitated the Christian community on the eve of Easter.

In a statement in Lahore today, she said Pakistan is the homeland of all of us regardless of race, religion, caste and creed and festival of Easter will promote spirit of harmony and humanity in society.

Punjab govt releases Easter Grant for Christian community


Punjab Government, for first time has released Easter Grant for Christian community under which Eidi worth five thousand rupees per family distributed among ten thousand Christian families today.

In this connection, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Safdarabad near Sheikhupura and distributed Easter Grant.

She visited the Church, cut an Easter cake and conveyed Easter wishes to the community.

Later, the Chief Minister visited the Maryamabad area in Lahore, went to Church and planted a tree there.

Addressing a gathering of Christian community, Maryam Nawaz lauded services of Christian community for progress of country especially in field of defence and education.

Corps Commander Lahore joins Christian Community in its Easter celebrations


Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Syed Amir Raza joined Christian Community in its Easter celebrations at Saint Mary Magdalene Church Lahore today.

He cut the cake and expressed good wishes to the Christian community.

On the occasion, prayers were offered for the development and prosperity of the country.

The Corps Commander appreciated the role of the Christian community during Pakistan movement and later in development and stability of the country.

On the occasion, Pastor Akram Gill said the people of Pakistan stand united as a nation and reject hateful propaganda.

Govt using all possible resources to address sense of deprivation: AJK PM


Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has said that the government is using all possible resources to address the sense of deprivation of people of the state.

Addressing a Iftar dinner at Kotla, he said under the endowment fund scheme financial assistance would be provided to widows, orphans, divorcees, aged and disabled persons at their doorstep.

He said the ban on cutting down trees has been imposed for overcoming the environmental pollution.

During his visit Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq laid the foundation stone of 30 km link roads costing over 500 million rupees under Kashmir Development Program
