Pak Army celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr with local people in North, South Waziristan


In North and South Waziristan, Pakistan Army and the local people celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr together with great enthusiasm.

Several events were organized in this regard. Tribal elders, local people and children participated in regional dance and sports competitions.

Pakistan Army distributed books, toys and other gifts amongst the children.

Jirgas were also held between Pakistan Army and local leaders for long-lasting peace in North and South Waziristan.

Pakistan Embassy Beijing hosts Mela on Eid-ul-Fitr


Pakistan Embassy in Beijing hosted an Eid Mela to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani families, children, students, officials of the Embassy and Chinese friends.

The Eid Mela provided a platform to the attendees to come together and celebrate Eid with Pakistani characteristics.

On this auspicious occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Khalil Hashmi extended Eid greetings to members of Pakistani community in China.

Highlights of the event included traditional Pakistani cuisine, desserts and a range of activities for the children.

Punjab Info Minister hails armed forces, police and media for Eid duties


Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari says that armed forces, police, law enforcement agencies, sanitary workers, and media representatives deserve homage who are discharging their responsibilities even during the Eid days.

In a statement in Lahore, she said that the whole nation was celebrating the happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr with their loved ones but jawans of Pak Armed forces and police personnel were performing their duties.

The Minister said that sanitary and municipal corporation workers were also working to maintain the cleanliness.

She said that the sacrifices of the Pak Armed Forces and other law enforcement agencies were truly helping to establish and maintain peace in the country.

Punjab CM permits prisoners to meet families during Eid


Upon the directive of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, thousands of prisoners’ families across Punjab were allowed to meet them.

According to the details, during the meetings, prisoners’ families also brought sweets and food to share with their loved ones.

For the prisoners, the facility of phone calls to their families will also be available on the second day of Eid.

The families of prisoners expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab for allowing them to meet their beloved ones.

SIFC to prove backbone of country’s economy: Sindh Governor


Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori says Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will prove backbone of country’s economy.

This he said during an Eid program hosted in his honour in Karachi by Consul General of UAE Bakheet Ateeq-al-Romaithi.

Governor said Sindh will provide complete security and safety to the projects of SIFC and all interested investors will be facilitated in this regard.
