Govt to provide maximum relief to people in budget: Musadik


Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik says government is committed to provide every possible relief to the common man as per instructions of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, he said the Prime Minister has directed all the ministries to ensure that the poor get job opportunities and have maximum relief in inflation.

Musadik Malik said the country is heading towards development despite of numerous challenges including floods and global circumstances.

He said all efforts are underway to provide maximum relief to the people in upcoming budget.

The Minister said people will see a significant reduction in inflation rate in coming days.

He highlighted that the rate of inflation in country has come down to almost 17 percent from around 37 percent.

Musadik Malik said food inflation was around forty percent last year which has now decreased to almost eleven percent.

He further said thirty percent increase in tax collection has also been witnessed this year.

Amir Muqam assures provision of funds to AJK


Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has said that Azad Kashmir will be provided with required funds in the next financial year.

He expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of a briefing on PSDP’s plans related to Azad Kashmir in Muzaffarabad.

The federal minister said that the PML-N government will give its full share to Azad Kashmir in the upcoming budget. All infrastructure improvement projects in Azad Kashmir will be completed on time.

Pakistan Army organizes 3-day free eye camp in Kasur


Pakistan Army organized a three day free eye camp in Kasur.

Several doctors and paramedical staff provided free medical services to hundreds of patients from morning till evening in Eye Camp.

Eye examination with modern equipment, free surgery for cataract patients and provision of free lenses and medicines were provided in the camp.

Hundreds of people from rural areas benefited from the Free Eye Camp.

Govt implementing drastic measures for economic stability: Deputy PM


Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said a committee has been constituted to address the challenges faced by medical education sector in the country.

Addressing first convocation of HBS Medical and Dental College in Islamabad today, he said the committee will assess demand and supply gap of medical education in the country.

Deputy Prime Minister said government has emphasized the provision of accessible and affordable healthcare facilities for everyone.

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has undertaken various initiatives for strengthening medical education, enhancement of faculty and upgradation of medical infrastructure.

Ishaq Dar said we can transform Pakistan into a developed and prosperous country through collective efforts.

He said the government has taken drastic steps to ensure economic turnaround.

The Deputy Prime Minister further stressed for making sincere efforts to become a member of G20.

He said things are turning around and Pakistan is not more in isolation among
the comity of nations as claimed by certain critics.

Ishaq Dar expressed the confidence that the incumbent government will take the country to a new level of economic prosperity as envisaged by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Beijing awaits PM Shehbaz’s visit for enhanced joint development: Mao Ning


The Chinese Foreign Ministry says Beijing looks forward to the visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, considering it as an opportunity to promote greater joint development.

At her regular briefing in Beijing, Spokesperson Mao Ning said the visit would boost the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay an official visit of China from June Tuesday to Saturday on the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. This is his first visit to China after the establishment of the new government this year.
