Privatization Minister assures to provide congenial investment environment


Minister for Board of Investment, Communications and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan has assured the Chinese investors of providing a favourable and congenial environment in Pakistan.

Speaking at the session with China’s CZK Huarui Group in Beijing, the Minister said as neighbours’ trade relations between China and Pakistan are of great importance in the region which has positive effects on both the countries.

It was decided during the meeting that Chinese businessmen will invest in Pakistan in Artificial Intelligence, Science and Technology, Modern Agriculture, Healthcare, Logistics and Infrastructure.

Chinese firms to explore more opportunities in CPEC Phase-II


Chinese companies operating in Pakistan have expressed confidence that Prime Minister’s visit to China will explore more opportunities for the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

World leading Chinese engineering and power companies CMEC and POWERCHINA have shown interest to enhance investment and undertake new projects across various sectors.

Talking to the Chinese media, Dai Bao, Vice General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Corporation said having closely observed Pakistan progress, we are confident that both countries will reap benefits from this new chapter.

He said with unwavering support from both governments, we are committed to contributing significantly to this milestone project.

The Power Construction Corporation of China would seek further collaboration with relevant international partners, taking full advantage of the rich water, wind, solar, and mine resources in Pakistan.

Minister Salik offers condolence on demise of Taskeen Zafar


Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain has expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Radio Pakistan’s legendary Urdu Newscaster Taskeen Zafar.

In his condolence message, the Minister said it was a huge loss for the Media Industry of Pakistan.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Taskeen Zafar.

In this regard, fateha was also offered at the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah for the legendary newscaster of Radio Pakistan.

Spokesperson of Ministry of Religious Affairs Muhammad Umar Butt told Radio Pakistan that Taskeen Zafar was an asset of the country and her death is a huge loss not only to the Radio Pakistan but the entire broadcasting industry.

Senate, NA to meet on Monday

PM’s recent China visit to elevate bilateral ties: Ahsan


Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says Prime Minister’s recent visit of China will elevate bilateral relations to new heights.

Talking to newsmen in Narowal today, he said China will assist Pakistan in exploring on shore gas deposits.

The Minister said China has assured to enhance cooperation in agriculture development.

He said Pakistan will send students to China for higher education in agriculture.

He said that the new Gwadar Airport will become operational this year.
