Pakistan Army and rescue 1122 have successfully carried out firefighting operations in Murree forests

Over ten teams of Army and Rescue 1122 extinguished the fire at different places.

The population adjacent to the forest area was completely protected from the fire.

According to the authorities concerned , the fire has been brought under control in eighty percent of the area.

Construction work on Mangi Dam in Quetta in full swing


Construction work on Mangi Dam in Quetta is in full swing.

This dam will address the problem of clean drinking water in Quetta city.

In 2017, the government had started work on the Mangi Dam project and this will be completed by August this year.

After completion of the project, the people of Quetta will have access to 8.1 million gallons of water per day.

Business community, citizens hail federal budget 2024-25


The business community and citizens have hailed the federal budget 2024-25 describing it people-friendly and step towards economic stability.

The budget, announced by the government, includes a series of measures aimed at fostering growth and improving public welfare.

Citizens have particularly welcomed the establishment of a digitilization authority, which they believe will improve tax collection and help document the economy more effectively.

A significant increase in the Benazir Income Support Programme will provide immediate relief to the general public.

The budget also focuses on the IT sector, introducing reforms and schemes aimed at increasing exports and creating new opportunities for the youth.

Privatization of SOEs will be accelerated: Finance Minister


The Finance Minister said that the privatization of PIA, Rosevelete Hotel, House Building Finance Corporation and First Women Bank will be accelerated.

As regards the privatization of PIA, Muhammad Aurangzeb said twelve companies had evinced interest in national flag carrier.

He said six companies have been pre-qualified by board of privatization commission.

Attempts to establish TTP centers in Balochistan thwarted


Intelligence and law enforcement agencies have thwarted attempts to establish TTP centers in Balochistan and apprehended high-value targets in their operation.

Several dangerous terrorists have been detained through successful intelligence-based operation conducted by law enforcement agencies in the province.

Among those captured is the notorious and most wanted commander of the TTP Khawarij’s Shura.

Initial investigations reveal that the network is interconnected with both internal and external terrorists.

The arrested commanders were actively involved in terrorist activities across various regions of the province.
