This initiative is expected to foster stronger connections between the Kashmiri diaspora and their homeland, potentially boosting economic and cultural exchanges.

The feasibility study will assess various aspects, including site selection, environmental impacts, and potential economic benefits. The study’s findings will inform the next steps in the project’s development, ensuring that the proposed airport meets international standards and facilitates smooth operations.

The government emphasizes that establishing an international airport in Mirpur will not only benefit the expatriates but also stimulate local economic growth by attracting more business and tourism to the region. The project is in its initial stages, with further announcements anticipated as the feasibility process progresses.
