Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir declared that any obstacle hindering Pakistan’s development will be unitedly crushed. Addressing the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, he emphasized the vast resources Allah has bestowed upon Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, General Munir assured that as long as the courageous citizens of the nation support the Pakistan Army, overcoming challenges is achievable. He dismissed the notion that a small number of terrorists could influence Pakistan’s future, asserting that even ten generations of terrorists would be incapable of harming Balochistan or Pakistan.
The Army Chief expressed confidence in Pakistan’s development journey, focusing on the speed of progress rather than questioning its inevitability. He highlighted the role of overseas Pakistanis as both ambassadors and a source of national pride globally.
General Munir shared his admiration for the sentiments of overseas Pakistanis, urging them to remember their prestigious heritage and uphold their pride, representing a powerful nation. He countered the narrative of brain drain, depicting overseas Pakistanis as an example of brain gain.
He emphasized the resilience of Pakistanis in adversity, honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and aspiring to fulfill Quaid-e-Azam’s vision for Pakistan. The Army Chief reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering stance on Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the Muslims of Gaza, stating that the hearts of Pakistanis resonate with theirs.
