Amb. am shahid (former diplomat): Pakistan and Arab World are already very close to each other as Pakistan has long standing relations with almost whole Arab world. Our relations with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain are exemplary and our Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was in Bahrain recently. Foreign Minister of Egypt was also here in Pakistan; these developments show that Pakistan’s relations with entire Muslim and Arab World are very strong and are witnessing upward trajectory. Now Pakistan needs to utilize the available potential of taking the mutual relationship forward and convert it into a strategic and economic cooperation. Recently we have signed a defence framework with Saudi Arabia and we are working with other countries on the same lines. Our ties with Islamic countries have started further strengthening after our great victory in Maarka e Haq over India. Now the Muslim world has realized that Pakistan is a strong country and it may defend them against any foreign aggression. Therefore these co
untries are willing to sign defence pact with Pakistan so we may have defence cooperation with all countries in future. In result of our best professional capabilities in defence sector, various countries have started taking keen interest in defence products.
