Doha: First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has expressed her appreciation for the growing portfolio of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) in Pakistan. She conveyed her sentiments during a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of QIA, Mohammad Saif Al-Sowaidi, in Qatar today. The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to Radio Pakistan, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari welcomed the Qatar Investment Authority’s interest in expanding its partnerships with Pakistan. She emphasized that such collaborations could significantly contribute to sustainable economic development and job creation in the country.
During their discussions, both parties explored various avenues for enhancing investment cooperation, with a particular focus on the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. The meeting underscored the potential for strengthening ties and leveraging mutual economic benefits.
In his remarks, Mohammad Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to exploring new opportunities for collaboration. He emphasized the importance of reinforcing economic ties between Qatar and Pakistan, describing the relationship as one between two brotherly nations.
