Austrian president secures second term with clear majority

In Austria, current President Alexander Van der Bellen has secured a second six-year presidency term with clear majority in the national election.

He obtained more than fifty percent of the vote in the election. His nearest rival was far-right Freedom Party candidate Walter Rosenkranz who secured 18.9% of the vote.
