Bilal Bin Saqib Calls for Effective Regulation of Digital Assets

Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, Bilal Bin Saqib, has emphasized the need for incorporating digital assets and related technologies into comprehensive regulatory frameworks. He made these remarks during an event focused on Digital Assets and Blockchain for Sustainable Development at the United Nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Bilal Bin Saqib highlighted that establishing clear and effective regulations is essential for building user confidence, ensuring protection, and fostering an environment conducive to the responsible development of digital financial technologies. He pointed out that well-structured rules could play a critical role in guiding the growth and innovation of digital assets.

Pakistan's Permanent Representative, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, also addressed the event, emphasizing that developing countries should not only be able to adopt emerging technologies but also derive tangible benefits from them. He stressed the importance of capacity-building in these nations to fully harness the potential of digital advancements.
