Islamabad: The Secretariat of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance was inaugurated at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad on Thursday. It marks a significant milestone in youth empowerment and entrepreneurship across the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, the event was attended by visiting Ministers of twelve countries, a delegation of the Commonwealth Secretariat, government officials, National Youth Council members, and others. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, inaugurated the CAYA Secretariat by cutting the ribbon.
The CAYA Secretariat will function as a hub for youth-led entrepreneurial initiatives, policy advocacy, and capacity-building programs. These efforts aim to enhance economic opportunities for young people across the Commonwealth Asian countries. Members of the National Youth Council, speaking at the event, described the secretariat as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and policy reforms benefiting young entrepreneurs in the region.
