Ceremony at GHQ Rawalpindi Marks One-Year Anniversary of Landmark Victory in Marka-e-Haq

Rawalpindi: A grand ceremony to commemorate the completion of one year of Pakistan's landmark victory in Marka-e-Haq was held at GHQ, Rawalpindi today. At the outset, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, separately, laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, followed by a salute by smartly turned out contingents of the trio services.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was the chief guest and delivered an important speech at the ceremony. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered fateha for the departed souls of martyrs.

Smartly turned out contingents of the three armed services presented a salute to the chief guest.
