Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan in Islamabad on Thursday. She thanked the Turkish First Lady for visiting Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, addressing a ceremony regarding Circular Economy under Pakistan-Turkiye Partnership for Sustainability, the Chief Minister said the Clean Punjab Program is an important and revolutionary project. She said it is not just a policy, but a commitment and a vision that has been formulated to improve the future of Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the Clean Punjab Program will not only increase employment opportunities, but also strengthen the local economy of the province. She praised the government of Turkiye for assisting the Punjab government in the waste management sector.
Later, Chief Minister along with the distinguished guest Emine Erdogan visited various stalls where the First Lady of Turkiye expressed her keen interest.
