Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to launch a six-month IT and digital skills training programme for rural women. Under this initiative, twenty-seven thousand rural women will receive scholarships during their online training, along with desktop computers and free Wi-Fi devices upon completion.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Skills Development Department will provide the online training. In a statement, Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the initiative will enable rural women to start freelancing, establish tech firms, and run online businesses from home.
