Corps Investiture Ceremonies Honor Officers and Soldiers in Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi


Peshawar: Corps Investiture Ceremonies were held in Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi to honor the bravery and meritorious service of officers and soldiers. A large number of senior Army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremonies.



According to Radio Pakistan, in Peshawar, Corps Commander Lieutenant General Omer Ahmed Bokhari served as the Chief Guest. The families of two Junior Commissioned Officers and 47 soldiers received the Tamgha-e-Basalat on behalf of the Shuhadas. Additionally, four officers were awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 11 officers received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) for their commendable services.



In Lahore, the ceremony was presided over by Commander Lahore Corps, Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah. He awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat to the next of kin of three Junior Commissioned Officers and twenty-four soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. In total, twenty-eight officers were awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and seventy-two officers received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military). The next of kin of the Shuhada were presented with their awards posthumously.



In Karachi, Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Avais Dastgir awarded 10 officers with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), four officers with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military), and 16 soldiers with the Tamgha-e-Basalat for their distinguished service.



Across all three ceremonies, heartfelt tributes were paid to the Shuhada, and the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Army to national defense and security was honored with deep reverence.
