The 35th death anniversary of legendry actor of Urdu and Punjabi Films, Mazhar Shah was observed on Friday.
Mazhar Shah’s real name was Syed Munawar Ali Shah. He was born on January 31, 1923 in Gwalmandi area of Lahore and started his career in Urdu films.
He introduced a new style of villain in Punjabi films.
Films Behrupiya and Rani Khan brought Mazhar Shah to the heights of fame.
His famous films include Ghaddar, Ferengi, Waris Shah, Chodiyan, Sassi Pannu, Ran Mureed, Punjab Da Sher, Hath Jodi, Dolly and Jigri Yaar.
In film Mahram Dil Da, he played hero.
He passed away on this day in Lahore.
