Islamabad: Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Dr. Asad Majeed Khan is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Pakistan starting today. During this visit, he will engage with key figures in Pakistan’s leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Federal Ministers.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Secretary-General’s agenda will focus on presenting the Economic Cooperation Organization’s initiatives and discussing his reform agenda aimed at revitalizing the organization. These discussions are expected to address regional cooperation and economic development strategies.
After completing his engagements in Islamabad, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan will travel to Lahore. In Lahore, he will participate in the 294th Meeting of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives. This significant meeting, scheduled from the 12th to the 15th of this month, will bring together Permanent Representatives of ECO member states to deliberate on various issues related to regional cooperation and trade.
