Election Commission of Pakistan has rebutted the news regarding appointment of retired officers as District Returning Officers and Returning Officers.
In a press release today, the Commission said all such news are misleading.
The commission said it has written letters to the provincial election commissions many times to prepare lists for the appointment of District Returning Officers and Returning Officers.
The commission said this is a continuous process which is of great importance for the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections, therefore, these appointments are being assessed from different angles.
