Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has announced quitting PTI following the May 9 vandalism and violent protests across the country.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, she said PTI promoted the politics of hatred in the country. She strongly condemned the incidents of violence on 9th May.
Meanwhile, PTI leader and former Punjab Minister Murad Ras along with his companions have also announced parting ways with PTI Chairman Imran Khan and the party.
Addressing a joint news conference in Lahore on Friday, they strongly condemned 9th May’s incidents and said such shameful events should not take place in any case.
On the other hand, PTI leaders from Okara Irshad Kathia, from Sahiwal Azmat Saeed Chishti and from Lodhran Tahir Amin Ghauri also announced to quit the party in separate news conferences.
Senator Saifullah Khan Niazi, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad, also announced to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
He condemned incidents of 9th May.
Another PTI leader Abrar-ul-Haq has also left the party and announced to focus on social activities only.
