Government Intensifies Crackdown on Smuggling.

Islamabad: Relevant government departments are continuing their action against smuggling.

According to Radio Pakistan, the latest statistics reveal a significant haul in the ongoing crackdown. Authorities seized 6,826 stocks of cigarettes, 869 rolls of clothes, and 0.26 million liters of Iranian oil from various locations across the country last week.

These measures are part of a broader government initiative to curb illegal trade activities that undermine the economy and pose a threat to local industries. The seized goods are expected to be processed according to legal procedures, and further investigations are likely to identify the networks involved in the smuggling operations.

The government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening border controls and enhancing coordination among different law enforcement agencies to effectively tackle smuggling. This ongoing effort reflects a significant stride toward maintaining economic stability and enforcing the rule of law.
