Government to Appeal Supreme Court Decision on PTI Founder’s Treatment

Islamabad: Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar announced that the government will seek a review from the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the decision on the treatment of the PTI founding chairman. Tarar addressed the media in a video statement concerning the recent Supreme Court hearing on the matter.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar noted that the order about the PTI founding chairman's treatment has been reviewed, and discussions were conducted on other aspects of the order. He raised questions about the applicability of the Supreme Court's order to all prisoners, highlighting the fact that numerous inmates suffer from health issues while in jail.

Tarar emphasized that convicted prisoners receive medical care in government hospitals, sparking a debate on whether the same standards should apply universally to all prisoners with health concerns.
