Govt Plans Reforms in Energy Sector: Shehbaz Sharif


Islamabad: A three-member delegation led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the capital today, expressing gratitude for the recent reduction in electricity prices. The Prime Minister assured the delegation of the government’s commitment to implementing long-term reforms in the energy sector, aimed at alleviating the burdens faced by ordinary citizens.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized his dedication to prioritizing public welfare and maintaining Pakistan’s progress despite various challenges. Both Sharif and Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman voiced their concerns regarding the international community’s lack of response to Israel’s actions against Palestinians in Gaza.



The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance on actively opposing Israeli aggression and pledged to continue advocating for the rights of Palestinians at international platforms. The delegation, which comprised Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Liaqat Baloch and Asif Luqman Qazi, engaged in discussions with the Prime Minister on these pressing issues.
