Govt to Continue Efforts for Development of Balochistan: PM


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized that the development of Balochistan is crucial for the overall progress and advancement of Pakistan. During a meeting with the high-level leadership of Balochistan’s lawyers in Islamabad, he reiterated the government’s commitment to the region’s development.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of Balochistan’s talented workforce, describing it as a valuable asset for the nation. The discussions during the meeting focused on the current law and order and security situation in Balochistan. The delegation of lawyers urged the federal government to take an active role in enhancing the region’s law and order conditions.



The delegation stressed the necessity of involving legal proceedings and engaging with the political and tribal leadership of Balochistan to address the prevailing issues. They also briefed the Prime Minister about their interactions with other political leaders regarding this matter.



The Presidents of the Supreme Court Bar and the Balochistan High Court Bar informed the Prime Minister about the governance challenges faced by Balochistan and sought his leadership and guidance to resolve these issues. In appreciation, the delegation commended the Prime Minister for prioritizing Balochistan’s development and acknowledged the federal government’s efforts for the welfare of the province’s people.



The delegation expressed their support for the Prime Minister’s initiative to provide higher education to underprivileged students through Danish Schools. They requested the establishment of such schools in Khanzai and Mangochar, Kalat, and called for the reinstatement of scholarship programs previously provided by the Prime Minister for Balochistan’s students. Prime Minister Sharif responded by instructing the relevant authorities to implement this initiative promptly.



The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Rauf Atta, President of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association Attaullah Lango, and Member of the Balochistan Bar Council Khalil Kakar.
