Govt to Ensure Educational Facilities for Every Child, Says Khalid

Islamabad: Minister for Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has announced that the government is committed to providing educational facilities for every child to uphold the vision behind the creation of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister made these remarks while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad as part of the 'No Child Left Behind' campaign aimed at bringing out-of-school children into the education system. He called on parents, teachers, and society members to actively support and disseminate the campaign's message across the nation.

The Minister emphasized the centrality of education by pointing out that the foundation of Pakistan's religion begins with the word 'Iqra', underscoring the importance of learning. He further elaborated that education encompasses training, skills, ethics, and knowledge, which are essential even for professions like farming and labor, as global standards now require proper certification.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also noted that education is a joint responsibility of the federal government and provincial authorities, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to ensure that every child has access to educational opportunities.
