Islamabad: Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has directed to enhance the production capacity of Islamabad Carriage Factory. During a visit to the factory today, he was also briefed on the technology being transferred from China, under which Pakistan Railways is manufacturing its new coaches. He emphasized that modernization of the factory is crucial for the future of Pakistan Railways.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit underscored the importance of incorporating advanced technology to improve efficiency and output at the facility. The initiative aims to boost the operational capabilities of Pakistan Railways and ensure the production of state-of-the-art coaches that meet international standards.
Abbasi’s directive is part of a broader strategy to revitalize the railway sector in Pakistan, which includes upgrading infrastructure and adopting cutting-edge technologies to enhance the overall service delivery of Pakistan Railways.
