Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, has deplored that India is subjecting the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to the worst brutalities for demanding their internationally-recognized right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said one million Indian troops are enjoying unbridled powers under draconian laws committing grave human rights violations in the territory making the life of the besieged Kashmiris a hell.
The APHC leader appealed the international community to hold India accountable for its brutal actions in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar, Badgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu. The residents of these areas said during these operations the troops barged into residential houses, terrorized the inmates including women and children and vandalize the household goods.
On the other hand, Jinko Gotoh, who was part of the five-member jury for the International Competition at the International Film Festival of India, in a statement posted on her twitter handle has maintained that she and two of her fellow jurors stand by the remarks made by jury head, Nadav Lapid, that The Kashmir Files is a propaganda movie.
