Jalalpur pirwala: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the rescue boat capsizing accident in Jalalpur Pirwala. In a statement, the Prime Minister conveyed his sympathy to the families of those who died in the incident and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the departed souls.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister has directed for more rapid and effective relief operations, emphasizing the need for timely assistance in the flood-hit areas. He highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts through linkages and cooperation with provincial governments.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that Pakistan is continuously affected by the harmful effects of climate change, despite its minimal contribution to global emissions. He mentioned that effective strategies and comprehensive plans are being developed in collaboration with the provinces to safeguard vulnerable areas against the adverse effects of climate change.
The Prime Minister also stated that steps are being taken to integrate early warning systems, along with robust and sustainable infrastructure, and rescue and relief systems.
