Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has introduced the “Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme” aimed at assisting low-income families by providing them with interest-free loans to build, renovate, or expand their homes.
According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesman for the Housing Department stated that qualifying families will have access to interest-free loans of up to 1.5 million rupees, with a repayment period spanning seven years. The scheme has been allocated a budget of four billion rupees.
The government has structured a seven-year plan which allows for a maximum monthly installment of 18,000 rupees. To qualify for the scheme, applicants must meet several criteria: they should have an income of 100,000 rupees, possess land, and fall within the age range of 18 to 55 years.
The deadline for applications to the Ehsaas Apna Ghar Loan scheme is set for the 8th of the upcoming month.
