KSA Shows Strong Interest in Investment in Pakistan’s Minerals Sector


Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has shown a strong interest in investing in the energy and minerals sector of Pakistan.



According to Radio Pakistan, the interest was expressed by a Saudi delegation led by Saudi Deputy Minister for Mining Abdul Rahman Al-Balushi during a meeting with Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik in Islamabad. The delegation visited on Tuesday and offered technical support to Pakistan in the areas of geological survey and mapping.



The Saudi delegation, which included CEO of Saudi Geological Survey Abdullah Al-Shamrani, extended an invitation to Pakistan’s Geological Survey team to visit Saudi Arabia. In addition, the delegation welcomed the organization of a Mineral Investment Forum and suggested that such forums be held annually.



Ali Pervez Malik highlighted Pakistan’s plans to conduct the Mineral Forum every year. He emphasized that Pakistan is facilitating foreign investors through an investor-friendly policy.
