Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench has banned all commercial constructions in Murree and ordered to demolish all illegal buildings and encroachments there.
The court issued these orders while announcing reserved verdict in Murree tragedy case today.
The Court directed that sewerage and waste management system should be improved in Murree and parking slots be made outside the city to avoid traffic congestion.
The Court ordered Highway Department, Disaster Management and Rescue Departments to take action against those responsible for the Murree tragedy that claimed lives of around 22 people in January this year.
The court ordered that a mechanism should be devised for regulating hotels in Murree.
