Lahore: Senior Minister Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb has stated that environmental pollution is a serious issue, and concrete measures are being implemented in Punjab to address it effectively. She made these remarks while speaking on the second day of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Asia and South-East Asia Regional Conference at the Punjab Assembly.
According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb highlighted that Pakistan is among the countries significantly impacted by climate change and may face challenges such as acute water shortages in the future. She emphasized that the Punjab Government is actively working on measures to prevent environmental pollution, which include the adoption of the latest technology in brick kilns and a ban on the use of plastic bags.
