Mohsin Seeks Int’l Cooperation to Combat Terrorism


Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with a US Congressional delegation comprising Congressmen Jack Bergman, Tom Suozzie, and Jonathan Jackson in Islamabad today (Sunday). The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, security, and counter-terrorism.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister emphasized that terrorism is a global challenge requiring full cooperation from the international community with Pakistan. He highlighted the critical role of intelligence and technology sharing in counter-terrorism efforts. Mohsin Naqvi pointed out the unparalleled sacrifices Pakistan has made in the war against terrorism, expressing hope that the visit of the US Congressmen would underscore Pakistan’s significant role in counter-terrorism initiatives.



The Interior Minister lauded the involvement of the US delegation in the recently held Minerals Investment Forum in Islamabad and assured that the government would extend all possible facilities to investors, ensuring complete protection for their investments. The US delegation, in turn, recognized the need to accentuate Pakistan’s contributions to the war on terrorism. They also acknowledged the proficiency and capabilities of the Pakistani community residing in the United States.
