MoU signed to enhance IT skills of Sindh’s students


Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony of the People’s Information Technology Program (PITP) in Karachi today.

The MoU was signed between the Sindh government’s IT Department and three major universities of province including NED University, Mehran University and IBA Sukkur University.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the aim of this program is to enhance IT skills of the students of Sindh to make them self-sufficient economically.

He said that the program is initially designed for the ten thousand students of these three universities to train them with the Industry-recognized certifications.

He informed that the duration of each certification will be comprised of two months and the training will be given five days a week and three hours per day.

Syed Murad Ali Shah approved five hundred million rupees for conducting IT courses and the funds would be provided to the respective universities.
