Makkah: The Muslim World League commended the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defense, a significant pact affirmed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The agreement was announced during the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defense, hosted in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, following a gracious invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Makkah Agreement was signed by prominent leaders including His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Prime Minister, President of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The agreement represents a collaborative effort to enhance security and promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
In a statement from the General Secretariat, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, expressed profound appreciation for the agreement. He emphasized the importance of the bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity as foundational elements of the pact. He also offered prayers for the success of these efforts and for the well-being of those leading the initiative.
