Lahore: The opening ceremony for the ICC Champions Trophy was held at Lahore Fort today [Sunday]. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the event for the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi stated that the global cricket community is keenly observing Pakistan’s readiness for the Champions Trophy. He expressed that hosting the tournament is an honor for Pakistan. Naqvi noted that both Gaddafi Stadium and National Stadium have been prepared in record time to facilitate a successful event.
Furthermore, the Chairman reiterated the PCB’s dedication to showcasing Pakistan’s culture and hospitality to the international audience. He added that the tournament aims to reflect the warmth and love of the Pakistani people.
