Islamabad: Pakistan and Bahrain have pledged to reinforce their military cooperation and training initiatives. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu emphasized the commitment to bolstering the existing bilateral military ties with Bahrain during a meeting with General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Air Chief underscored the enduring religious and historical connections between the two nations, which have fostered strong brotherly relations. General Al Khalifa commended the significant advancements achieved by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) over the years, particularly highlighting the strides made through indigenization.
General Al Khalifa expressed a strong interest in enhancing cooperation between the air forces of Pakistan and Bahrain. He showed a keen interest in the PAF’s multi-domain capabilities, aiming to leverage shared knowledge and technology to improve the operational readiness of the Bahrain Air Force.
Furthermore, the Commander of the Bahrain National Guard expressed interest in assistance from the PAF to establish Basic to Tactical Level training setups. This initiative would focus on emerging warfare domains, specifically in Space, Cyber, and Electronic Warfare operations. General Al Khalifa also conveyed a desire to procure equipment from the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park.
