Pakistan, Denmark to jointly work for green energy transition


Danish Ambassador Jakob Linulf met with Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, they discussed several bilateral issues, focusing on assistance for Pakistan’s transition to green energy, climate resilience, water conservation, and biodiversity protection.

In her remarks, Romina Alam emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to global climate action, highlighting the country’s support for various international initiatives aimed at safeguarding oceans, biodiversity, and water and energy resources.

Both the sides acknowledged the urgent need for joint efforts to advocate for equitable climate financing for developing nations affected by climate-related disasters, such as floods and heatwaves.
