Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed Pakistan’s desire to strengthen its bilateral relations with Hungary in various sectors, including trade, investment, and energy. He was speaking with the Foreign Minister of Hungary, P©ter Szijj¡rt³, who visited him in Islamabad on Thursday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister was briefed on the discussions held between the two countries at the Foreign Minister-level earlier in the day. He expressed satisfaction with the signing of understandings between Pakistan and Hungary on visa abolition for diplomatic passport holders, as well as cooperation in the fields of culture, archaeology, and cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of business-to-business exchanges and welcomed the Hungarian business delegation accompanying the Foreign Minister. This delegation participated in the Pakistan-Hungary Business Forum held in Islamabad.
In addition to discussing bilateral ties, the Prime Minister addressed regional and global developments, underscoring the importance of cooperation and dialogue to overcome current challenges. Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed his good wishes to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, and reiterated his invitation for an official visit to Pakistan.
