Pakistan Embassy in Washington Holds Defence and Martyrs Day Ceremony

Islamabad: A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., to commemorate Defence and Martyrs Day. Civilian and military attach©s from various countries and senior U.S. officials attended the ceremony.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, addressed the gathering, recalling the events of 1965 when the Pakistani nation displayed courage, national unity, and solidarity against adversarial forces. He emphasized the significance of remembering the sacrifices made by the armed forces and the nation during challenging times.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Pakistan's Defence Attach©, who reaffirmed the armed forces' unwavering commitment to the security and stability of the country. The event served as a platform to honor the memory of those who laid down their lives in defense of Pakistan and to strengthen diplomatic ties with international counterparts present at the occasion.
