Karachi: Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, emphasized Pakistan Navy’s continuous contribution to regional peace and stability through initiatives such as the Regional Maritime Security Patrol and the multinational exercise AMAN. Admiral Ashraf shared these insights while engaging with senior officers and Commanding Officers during his visits to foreign ships participating in the 9th Multinational Naval Exercise AMAN-25.
According to Radio Pakistan, upon arriving aboard the visiting foreign ships, the Naval Chief received a warm welcome from Senior Officers and Commanding Officers. A Guard of Honor was presented by contingents in recognition of his visit. Admiral Ashraf visited several participating naval vessels, including Bangladesh Navy Ship BNS SOMUDRA JOY, China Navy Ship PLA (N) GAO YOUHU, Indonesia Navy Ship KRI BUNG TOMO, and others from Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UAE, and the USA.
During his interactions, Admiral Ashraf stressed Pakistan’s belief in collaborative efforts to ensure maritime security and maintain good order at sea. He expressed optimism that the cooperation and partnerships initiated through the AMAN Exercise would strengthen in the future, aligning with the shared objective of peace and prosperity.
Admiral Ashraf appreciated the participating navies’ involvement in the AMAN Exercise, highlighting the common resolve of ‘Together for Peace’. The exercise reflects Pakistan’s commitment to peace, reinforces regional maritime security, and enhances interoperability among regional and extra-regional navies.
