Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has affirmed that Pakistan will persist in taking every necessary measure to defend its citizens and prevent those who wage terror against Pakistan from finding safe haven across the border.
According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar, in a post on his X handle, clarified that Pakistan's ongoing war against terrorism targets only military and terrorist entities, including the infrastructure of the Afghan Taliban regime, which are directly or indirectly used to plan, facilitate, shelter, train, or abet terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.
The Information Minister refuted claims by the Afghan Taliban regime, who alleged that Pakistan targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, calling these allegations entirely baseless. He emphasized that the strikes carried out on the night of 16th March in Kabul and Nangarhar were precise and deliberate, targeting only military and terrorist infrastructure, such as ammunition and technical equipment storage sites and other installations linked to hostile activities against Pakistan.
He further stated that the visuals from the strikes leave no room for doubt, with flames and secondary detonations in Kabul confirming that the intended ammunition storage site was hit with precision. The current propaganda, according to Tarar, comes from a regime that has repeatedly relied on false narratives, doctored claims, and recycled visuals to mislead audiences and obscure the truth. He described the latest allegations as part of a consistent pattern of deceit.
Attaullah Tarar highlighted that Pakistan, along with the region and the wider world, continues to face the severe threat of terrorism emanating from territories under the Afghan Taliban regime's control.
