Pakistani Passports Not Valid for Travel to Israel: FO Clarifies

Islamabad: The Foreign Office has clarified that Pakistani passports explicitly state that they are “not valid for travel to Israel.” This statement comes amid reports that suggested Pakistani journalists were traveling to Israel, a notion that the Foreign Office has firmly denied under the current regulations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan addressed the situation by asserting that no such visits to Israel are possible given the existing travel restrictions on Pakistani passport holders. He emphasized Pakistan’s steadfast position on the Palestinian issue, highlighting the country’s commitment to a just and peaceful resolution in line with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The Spokesperson further reiterated that Pakistan’s stance on Israel remains unchanged. Pakistan does not recognize Israel and remains a strong advocate for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
