The Joint Sitting of the Parliament resumed at Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday evening with Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair.
Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, after taking sense of the House, announced donation of one-month salary of all the members of the Parliament for earthquake victims of Turkiye and Syria.
The Joint Sitting met briefly and resumed discussion on various issues including law and order and terrorism to create awareness and building consensus.
Participating in the discussion, Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar suggested that a committee of lawmakers, experts and academia should be formed to eradicate the menace of terrorism in the country.
Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari said maintenance of law and order is the biggest demand of the people of his constituency in district Rajanpur.
Taking notice of the absence of concerned ministers in the House, the chair adjourned proceedings of the Joint Sitting till 28th of this month at four p.m.
