PM and Kuwait Crown Prince Discuss Regional, Global Issues at UN Session

New york: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, in New York today on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. The meeting served as an important platform for discussing regional and global issues of mutual concern.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister reflected on the longstanding, historic fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait. He extended his respects and good wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and thanked the Crown Prince for Kuwait’s expressions of solidarity following the recent floods in Pakistan.

Expressing satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s keen desire to strengthen ties further, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, manpower export, and health. He also expressed anticipation for hosting the Kuwaiti Crown Prince for an official visit to Pakistan later this year.

The leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the situation in the Middle East. The Crown Prince commended Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in highlighting the plight of the Palestinian people and its role in promoting peace in the region. Both leaders affirmed their commitment to close collaboration, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums.
