Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the entire Pakistani nation and the Islamic world on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and prayed to Allah Almighty to accept the prayers and sacrifices of Muslim Ummah.
In a message, the Prime Minister said that on this holy day, Hazrat Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him) and Hazrat Ismail (Peace Be Upon Him) presented an eternal example of sacrifice while expressing submission to Allah.
He said Allah Almighty liked this act so much that He made it obligatory for the Ummah of Muhammad (S.A.W.W.) until the Day of Judgment.
The Prime Minister said sacrifice is not a ritual, but a universal sentiment.
He said that Qurbani is not just the name of slaughtering an animal, but its purpose is to sacrifice one’s life in the way of Allah to achieve higher goals.
Shehbaz Sharif said this is a matter of fact that no nation in the world can progress unless it has the spirit of sacrifice.
Meanwhile, in a message on the occasion, Prime Minister has urged the people to take special care of those people on the occasion of Eid, who have become homeless due to previous year’s floods.
Shehbaz Sharif prayed for peace and prosperity of Muslim Ummah and alleviation of the sufferings of Muslims across the world, particularly the oppressed brothers and sisters in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.
