PM Shehbaz Sharif to Attend World Governments Summit in Dubai


Dubai: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, starting Monday, to participate in the World Governments Summit in Dubai. The visit comes at the invitation of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.



According to Radio Pakistan, the summit will gather a significant number of Heads of State and Government, global policymakers, and prominent private sector figures to deliberate on the future of governance, innovation, and international cooperation. This visit marks Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s second trip to the UAE since taking office in March 2024, highlighting the importance of Pakistan-UAE relations.



Accompanying the Prime Minister will be a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other key cabinet members. This delegation underscores Pakistan’s dedication to deepening its engagement with the UAE and other international partners.



During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the summit, where he will outline Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation, and governance reforms. Additionally, he will engage in bilateral meetings with the UAE leadership and interact with other Heads of State and Government from the participating countries, as well as leading CEOs of major multinational companies.



The Prime Minister’s visit is a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its ties with the UAE, fostering economic collaboration, and exploring new partnership opportunities for mutual prosperity.
