PNS Yamama Inducted into Navy Fleet


Ormara: Fourth Offshore Patrol Vessel-PNS Yamama has been inducted into the Pakistan Navy Fleet. The induction ceremony took place at Jinnah Naval Base Ormara, with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf serving as the chief guest.



According to Radio Pakistan, the PNS Yamama was developed in collaboration with Damen Shipyard Romania and is equipped with the latest technology and combat capabilities. In his address at the ceremony, Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized the importance of a strong navy to address emerging maritime challenges in the region.



Admiral Ashraf stated that the induction of PNS Yamama is a testament to the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to safeguarding maritime borders and establishing peace in international waters. He underscored the Navy’s commitment to regional peace and security, including the protection of ports and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).



The addition of PNS Yamama to the Pakistan Navy fleet is expected to enhance effective fleet operations, extend reach on the western seaboard, and promote maritime security.
